So you've confirmed that you need to upgrade your version of PHP but you are a little unsure about how to do this.
There are two distinct paths to getting your website running an up to date version of PHP; these are:
- Reconfiguring your web server to alter the version of PHP it runs - there are various ways to do this depending on your exact web hosting setup. Follow our online guides by clicking here.
- Changing your web server provider - A surprising number of internet service providers don't offer the very latest stable PHP versions. If this is the case with a website you maintain we would seriously recommend you consider changing provider to another that does. Read more on this here.
